Oakdale was founded in the early 1990's by Anna Nicholas.  Anna passionately believed in providing a low cost service to the animals in the area and, initially, treated all species large and small. Anna also founded a Charity (Merrylegs Charitable Trust) to provide homes for animals that needed them.  The profits from Oakdale went to set up the Charity and the Practice still donates significant funds to them today. Following Anna's passing in 2021, Dr. Frances Henson MRCVS and Ruthy Rogers RVN have been appointed as Directors and are determined to maintain the Practice as true to Anna's principles as they can.
